The Recruiting/Retail Energy Staff support will partner directly with recruiters, candidates, HR team members, and hiring managers to facilitate and support all phases of the recruiting/onboarding process under limited supervision. The Recruiting Coordinator will help with coordination and scheduling of interviews for candidates and take ownership in all of the logistics of the interview process. Additionally, they will oversee onboarding activities for any new employees entering the company and internal transfers. They will the Recruiting Coordinator will manage vendor relationships and Talent Acquisition initiatives. Additionally, they will support the staff acquired onsite at NRG Tejas call center.

Essential Job Functions

Supports a fast-paced recruiting department with interview scheduling needs, candidate travel, new employee/transferee onboarding.

Plans and executes interview days; including creating schedules, procuring space, confirming candidate travel, conducting interviewer sign-up, creating candidate packet, and greeting candidates.

Completes onboarding process for all new hires to include background screening and pre-employment testing.

Acts as point of contact for candidates regarding Applicant Tracking System (ATS), post-offer onboarding, I-9 verifications, and day one itinerary

Acts as primary point of contact for retrieving data and analytics surrounding recruiting key performance indicators, anticipating the data needs of the Talent Acquisition team.

Manages Talent Acquisition initiatives and programs including, but not limited to the employee referral program including tracking and processing referral bonuses.

May act as a subject matter resource to others in the human resources department on recruiting processes, programs, and initiatives.

Takes part in special project assignments to develop world class processes and tools for the recruiting function.

Minimum Qualifications

4 years of total work experience with at least 2 years of experience in a Recruiting Coordinator or HR Coordinator position supporting Recruiting or HR departments OR Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in a Recruiting Coordinator or HR Coordinator position supporting Recruiting or HR departments.

2 years extensive experience using MS Office Suite with emphasis on Outlook and Excel

1 year experience with pulling detailed reports and analyzing data for accuracy.

Must be able to multi-task and handle changing priorities.

Team player, detail oriented, work independently, ability to deal with change, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with several moving priorities in different stages.

Strong desire to work in Human Resources and Talent Acquisition.

Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills with a high level of professionalism.

Strong business acumen and critical thinking skills.

Proactive problem solver with the ability to work through challenges and delays and potential problems.

Strong desire to interact with the people and make our candidate experience world class.

Ability to clearly communicate with all stakeholders in the interview process.

Preferred Qualifications

4 years of experience recruiting, testing, onboarding, and sourcing recruiting opportunities.

2 years experience managing calendars, arranging travel, and scheduling interviews or meetings.

2 years of experience pulling and analyzing detail reports.

2 years of experience managing Talent Acquisition team initiatives.

2 years of managing external vendor relationships.
