Incomplete or improperly submitted applications may be excluded from consideration.SUMMARY:The Department of Marketing & Business Analytics seeks to establish a pool of qualified applicants for future, part-time adjunct faculty appointments.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teach up to six semester credit hours within the required discipline of Business Analytics and Quantitative courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels such as Data Visualization, Predictive Analytics, Business Data Management, and Big Data / Data Mining.

Delivery of instruction is online. Online weekend instructional duties may be required.

Hold online office hours.

Advising students.

Preparing syllabi.

Developing curriculum and updating course materials.

Have an understanding and knowledge of multicultural and diversity issues, and their potential applications to pedagogy, programming, and service activity.

Continual learning to stay current with research, best practices in teaching, and technological applications in the classroom, including online teaching.

All faculty members are expected to demonstrate, through past accomplishments and actions, the ability to support the University’s diversity commitment and strong student-centered vision and mission.

Accreditation recognizes and encourages participating faculty, which are adjuncts who choose to engage more with mission-oriented faculty duties such as these below. These are not required but are helpful in support of the college and department.

Supporting specific strategic initiatives of the department and college.

Maintaining regular contact and involvement with the officers of the student organization. The exact time commitment is up to the individual.

Being familiar and involved with student activities and events.

Being knowledgeable about the missions, goals, and purpose of the student organizations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: An earned doctorate in Business Analytics, Data Analytics/Data Science, or a closely related discipline. A Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the field. (ABD candidates will be considered at the instructor level until the doctoral degree is completed).

Experience / Knowledge / Skills: Knowledge of SQL, R, Python, Tableau and other languages. Evidence of potential for teaching, research and service in the business analytics and management field. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team of professionals. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Commitment to high quality teaching. Dedication to high standards and student success. Along with building a track record of excellence in teaching, School of Business faculty members are expected to produce high-quality publications in business analytics and management, or education journals and present peer-reviewed work at appropriate academic conferences.

College or University teaching experience.

Evidence of teaching excellence.

Experience working with culturally diverse populations.

Online instruction skills.

course experience in MIS, Managerial Decision Making, and Simulation, Optimization, Supply Chain Management, and Technology Ethics.

Background or experience in being a liaison with appropriate professional groups and or industry partners.
