Why you'll love this job. Lead Application Support Engineer The role will be responsible for providing technical support of all the application. Carrying out all aspects of the operating procedures/runbooks within a predefined shift pattern. This role encouraged to work closely with the required development teams, our Enterprise Infrastructure partners and our internal business clients to resolve and escalate technical support incidents were vital.

What you'll do:
  • Support DTCC applications by providing monitoring, application, and system support for client facing environments.
  • Provide 24x7 support for event monitoring, incident triage and critical issue
  • Provide support to all jurisdictions on a shift basis, handling any activity for any region within the local time zone coverage
  • Identify and implement efficiencies and improvements to standard processes and procedures such as automation through scripting, programming, etc.
  • Contribute to projects by carrying out task deliverables and ensuring permit-to-operate (PTO) guidelines are met.
  • Provide support for change management approval, execution
  • Client support team engagement to assist with application related incidents, client testing and integrations
  • Disaster recovery test planning and execution - application environment review, shutdown, start, verification, solving problems
  • Access administration for application access
  • Support management of resources that are involved in maintaining the host operating system on UNIX, VMware, and Windows servers as well as software subsystems such as databases, web server software, LDAP, and security subsystems.
  • Aligns risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to supervise and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately

Talents needed for Success:
  • 6 years of related experience minimum
  • Bachelor's degree preferred with Masters, or equivalent experience
  • Work independently, with minimal direction.
  • Expertise of system administration - system configuration management, resource sharing, operating system fundamentals
  • Solid experience with application support - basic programming skills, log reading and analysis
  • Analysis, Research and Documentation of Legacy Mainframe systems
  • Mainframe application support, bug fix, improvement and production implementation requiring hands on experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, Change man, Serena, and CA Scheduler
  • Tools required OS/390, File-Aid, SAR, TSO/ISPF, Tivoli, etc.
  • Application support, issue tracking, Incident and Problem Management using ServiceNow application
  • On call Support required on weekends and during any upgrades or deployments
  • DR exercises support required for multiple applications
  • Ability to work well with Application developers, Infrastructure and Business Teams
  • Proven programming, and debugging skills
