Why you'll love this job The Platform Engineering & Delivery (Private Cloud) team provides services and solutions for the planning, design, implementation and support of operating systems, virtual infrastructure, storage and backups. Sustaining Storage & Data Protection supports industry standard NAS and SAN platforms to provide both a stable and robust business environment. The Lead Platform Engineer will be responsible for providing technical leadership across a distributed virtualized environment. The candidate will support key project driven initiatives, as well as operational tasks to maintain the integrity of a distributed virtualized environment.

What You'll Do Design, implement, and support new technologies within the infrastructure environment. Leads and/or Assists key projects and deliverables related to the infrastructure environment. Maintain stability of the infrastructure environment. Support and coordinate scheduling and execution of system maintenance, release updates, upgrades, and/or new technology deployments adhering to company's standard change management protocol. Effectively complete complex projects and installations within aggressive time frames and budget parameters. Develop and produce timely metrics based on the required management platforms. Execute performance and statistical monitoring to develop procedures and best practices which improve overall environment. Perform comprehensive Evaluation of new feature or product technologies resulting in insightful analysis and recommendation Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately Note: Responsibilities of this role are not limited to the details above

Your talents needed for success Expert level experience: Dell/EMC VMAX, PowerMax, Unity, VNX and VNXe platforms. of Unisphere and SYMCLI Working knowledge: STAR and SRDF replication technologies. NetApp OnTap 9.x with a focus on NFS and CIFS. NetApp SnapMirror replication. Brocade and Cisco fibrechannel switches. Linux and Windows operating systems. Networking principles

Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred with Masters, or equivalent experience Minimum of 6 years of related experience
