The Senior Quality Engineer's primary responsibility is to help develop and manage Caliber's strategy to design/develop test cases, automate them, execute them, and then incorporate them in to a continuous integration environment. The Senior Quality Engineer is also responsible for the management and strategy regarding the creation of the testing components for manual and automated testing of Caliber applications. With support and direction from QA Management, the Senior Quality Engineer will implement test case/script development, maintenance, and storage strategies; provide insight into the testability of proposed features/functionalities; assist and support the QA project/track teams in their testing and QA activities; report daily progress and escalate testing issues using the appropriate escalation paths. The Senior Quality Engineer will manage, day to day, the members of the QA project/track team, ensuring process and procedures are being followed, milestones are being met and reporting is accurate.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 1. Accountability for lower test environment stability and proper escalations (as needed) 2. Daily detailed status reporting of testing activities within a given sprint or release 2. Development or procurement of tools to streamline testing activities. Additional responsibilities include the analysis of the business requirements & designs for testability, requirements traceability, utilization of appropriate tools to develop automated test cases and scripts, and the execution of functional, system integration, regression, and non-functional testing types.
