Immediate requirement for a Linux Admin in
Coppell, Texas with our direct client 6+ Months Contract. Role: Linux Admin Location: Coppell Texas 75019Duration: 6+ Months Contract Specific Responsibilities:- Perform Solaris and Red Hat Linux Server system administration, including installation and customization
- Assist Level 1 & 2 Support staff members on complex Server and application type technology problems.
- Share in a rotating coverage schedule for off-hours and weekend emergency situations/planned maintenance, which includes remote system access. As well as Disaster Recovery Testing and initiatives.
- Assist with key projects and deliverable related to the infrastructure environment.
- Support and coordinate scheduling and execution of system maintenance, release updates, upgrades, and/or new technology deployments adhering to companys standard change management protocol.
- Actively strives to keep Standards documents, Process and Procedures Documents, and Baseline documents up to date with emerging industry standards
- Initiates Changes through Change Management to address issues proactively and can effectively delegates work to others to complete like activities
- Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately

- Minimum of 5 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
- Ability to work independently or with a cross departmental team
- Experience with Veritas Volume Manager and Veritas Clusters
- Have worked and configured Solaris Operating Systems (Solaris 10,11)
- Have working Knowledge with Operating System patch and Vulnerability Management
- Have had experience with Oracle SPARC T4 T5 server Sparc
- Administration of Data Storage, Solaris 10,11 Zones and Networking configuration
- Working knowledge on servers with ZPOOL/ZFS
- Working knowledge for Geographical Disaster Recovery Environments
- Managing and Supporting day to activities for user administration file creation expansion etc
- Have experience and a knowledge working with Oracle Enterprise Manager Ops Center
- Working knowledge for LDOM and CDOM configuration and Troubleshooting
- Managing and configuring and implementation of Global and non-global Zone.
- Ability to train junior staff members in Linux/Unix fundamentals and writing basic documentation.
- Ability to troubleshoot and track complex system problems, using all available resources (Vendor support, online documentation) to completion.
- Working Knowledge of Solaris and Linux Operating Systems and VMware platform strongly desired.
- Possesses an expert Knowledge of skill with most aspects of Linux/Unix Systems administration.
- Must be customer focused and understand the Systems Administration needs of the Organization
- Working Knowledge of Ansible and Ansible Tower as Configuration management tool, to automate repetitive tasks, quickly deploys critical applications, and proactively manages change.
- Experience with Python Code using Ansible Python API to Automate Patching and deployment process.
