- Senior Data Analyst is responsible for performing data analysis, discover data anomalies, data quality improvements, requirements gathering and modifications to existing SQL code (Scripts, Stored Procedures, Views, Agent jobs, etc.)
- And ETL via SSRS/SSIS. This individual will be working closely with internal / external customers, ETL developers, Data Modelers / Architects, Report Developers / Analysts and functional teams.
- Develop and maintain SQL generating datasets to meet customer demand
- Manipulate data in BI software and Excel to create and share data internally
- Perform data validation, root cause analysis, and ETL activities to ensure data accuracy
- Develops strong working relationships with division leadership, functional business leaders, and domain experts within the company. Should be seen as a strong partner and trusted advisor to the business (internal consultant).
- Ensures the integrity of project data, including data extraction, storage, manipulation, processing and analysis.
- Consults with the external clients and internal staff to determine data management needs and objectives.
- Create and maintain data dictionaries.
- At least 3 years’ experience writing your own SQL and using SQL at work.
- At least 3 years’ experience providing reporting / datasets to internal / external customers
- At least 1 year experience working on a team using agile methods
- Experience with Business Intelligence software (Power BI, Sisense, Qlik, Tableau)
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities required.
- Strong written, presentation and oral communication skills.
