This position is to be the Senior Business Analyst (BA) for the Data Protection squad. In this role you will partner closely with the Product Owner (PO) and members of the squad and is key to authoring business use cases and user stories, elaborating details (eg. Acceptance criteria) in backlog items. Acts as liaison between technology and business partners because they have a deep understanding of the security capability and the user needs. The Data Protection squad provides enterprise security services to proactively identify how to protect data going inbound and outbound of the DTCC environment, improving the data security posture, and implement preventative controls wherever possible. Your Primary Responsibilities
- Translates user and business needs into product backlog items (shared responsibility with PO) to achieve Definition of Ready and Definition of Done
- Collaborates on backlog item refinement to foster a shared understanding of what capability per the roadmap is being delivered.
- Partners with PO and stakeholders to incorporate Review feedback into the backlog, and may act as proxy PO when delegated
- Assists with user acceptance testing
- Leads workflow design and contributes to user experience design or security process design, where applicable.
- When applicable, build documents for stakeholders and/or provides information for others. (e.g. training materials, message specs, technical/functional design, etc.)
- Minimum 5+ years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Security related certifications
- Solid experience as a Business Analyst with experience in Agile methodology (Enterprise Agile, SaFE, etc)
- Information Security experience is a plus
- Embraces a collaborative approach to requirements development and refinement
- Strong analytical and technical writing skills
- Critical thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
