Experienced cook needed to prep lunch entrees for an adult day health and activity center. 16-20 hours/week. Our recipes or yours. Institutional experience a plus in that all meals must follow State of Texas Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) guidelines. Public school experience would be helpful.
Flexible schedule, but morning hours would be best, two or three weekdays each week. Some entrees can be prepped ahead and then refrigerated or frozen, and others will be served fresh. Must be proficient in both American and Tex-Mex genres. This is for meal prep only. An experienced and proficient kitchen staff will bring the meal to the table. We feed 40-50 people each day.
Food manager permit required. Must submit to a background check and a TB test as per state requirements. Purchasing experience is a plus. Stable employment history is mandatory. Compensation will be as generous as possible.
