Responsibilities and Duties:

Assistant premium tax specialist on various tasks as needed for organizing data collected, preparing returns and filing completed returns.

Organize, document and maintains tax records and conduct basic tax calculations, and conduct project as needed.

Assist Prepare payment related reports

Deliver prepared returns within deadline specified to the appropriate person for review, finalization, printing, and signature.

Perform adjustments and corrections of prepared returns/reports at the request of the client or designated reviewer.

Research industry specific state and local tax return instructions and taxing laws.

Contact state and local taxing authorities on behalf of clients and for research purposes and maintain records pertaining to these contacts.

Special Projects and other duties as needed or required.

Occasionally deal with confidential information and/or issues.

Qualifications:

Qualifications include:

Education or Experience - High School's degree or two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of both.

Necessary Skills include:

o Problem Solving - Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; Gather and analyze information skillfully. Ability to accurately assess the value of provided information.

o Customer Service -Respond to requests for service and assistance; Meet commitments in a timely manner.

o Teamwork - Balances team and individual responsibilities. Work well in a group problem solving situations; Provide assistance to team members as required.

o Quality - Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.

o Judgment - Exhibits sound and accurate judgment; Supports and explains reasoning for decisions; Makes timely decisions.

Required Abilities include:

o Language - Ability to read, analyze, and help to interpret general technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, managers, and customers.

o Ability to work with mathematical concepts - Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

o Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

o Knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, other tax software, the internet, and ability to learn new software skills.

Some work outside normal business hours and some weekends required infrequently.
