If so, the role of Sr. Cloud Solutions Architect is for you. As a Lead Architect, you are a critical senior member of cross-functional team of Vanguard's Retail Advice Architecture & Solutions Delivery group

working with cutting-edge cloud native technologies to architect & build highly scalable, resilient & secure solutions for clients.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for collaborating across different areas of organization within business and technology to create a clear and cohesive vision to drive future state cloud architecture across Retail Advice platform.
  • Develop strategic proposals to enable and deliver digital transformation using APIs driven approach, data modernization utilizing cloud data services.
  • Provide deep technical expertise and thought leadership to help engineering teams navigate through changing data technology landscape & adoption of Microservices.
  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of AWS cloud computing services, Microservices, Data Integration Patterns, Database services including NoSQL, Big Data Frameworks like Spark, Hadoop etc. & streaming / event-driven architecture patterns.
  • Define, implement, and continuously improve architecture processes by collaborating closely with business, technology leaders and other industry experts.
  • Define & create reference architecture & guidance material for product teams.
  • Continue to expand both technical and business acumen by having a continuous learning mindset.

Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
  • Minimum eight years relevant work experience with architecture and delivery.
  • Strong experience with API design and management.
  • Understanding of distributed, fault-tolerant, highly scalable database solutions and concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud computing having broad knowledge of compute services covering containers, serverless and instance-based AWS services.
  • Experience with event-driven architecture and streaming technologies like Kafka, Kinesis etc.
  • At least 5 years of experience in AWS Cloud databases and storage solutions such as NoSQL - DynamoDB, Relational Databases like RDS, Aurora, Graph databases, ElastiCache, Redshift, S3, EBS and EFS
  • Experience with Big Data technologies such as Kafka, Spark, Python, Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive, Oozie, Presto, MongoDB.
  • Defining non-functional requirements and establishing architecture guidance to satisfy availability, resiliency, observability & security needs.
  • Hands on experience with AWS services such as Athena, Glue ETL, EMR, CloudFormation, CloudWatch.
  • Experience with digital transformation and migrating workloads from monolithic applications to microservices based architecture.
  • Implementation of AI/ML solutions experience is nice to have.
  • Good understanding of CI/CD.
  • Effective communication, presentation skills.
  • AWS Certification preferred
