Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in the construction industry, located in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will be expected to review, code, and process a large amount of vendor invoices in our accounting system, as well as follow up with invoice approvers to ensure timely workflow. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Review and process a high volume of construction vendor invoices in the accounting system. Utilize both 3-way and 2-way match invoice processing methods. Reconcile vendor statements and ensure all vendors are paid accurately and promptly while adhering to department procedures. Follow up with invoice approvers to get invoices through the workflow in a timely manner. Upload supporting invoice documentation into the accounting system. Post vendor payments (pay files) into the system. Maintain accounting inbox for multiple entities. Other duties as assigned based on business needs and your skills and experience. Utilize accounting software systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for various accounting functions. Conduct regular audits and invoice processing. Handle foreign currency transactions and translations. Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry, including the use of Excel formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP. Requirements Proficiency in using accounting software systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems. Demonstrable experience in performing accounting functions, particularly accounts payable (AP). Proficient in account coding and auditing. Skilled in invoice processing, with a focus on processing vendor invoices. Familiarity with Deltek Costpoint. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of advanced features such as Excel formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP. Knowledge of foreign currency and foreign currency translation processes. Experience in the construction industry would be an advantage. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field would be beneficial.
