The Associate Business Partner, IT - Logistics also promotes and supports the management and prioritization of IT services.
Job Duties- Develops and maintains partnerships with business leaders and assists business leade
- Acts as liaison between IT teams and the business for a functional or geographic area (One stop shop or the face of IT to the Business), represents IT value and supports appropriate governance of IT activities. Manages expectations with stakeholders based on IT resource availability.
- Assists in ensuring alignment between business needs and technical capabilities, engaging with Business Analysts and Enterprise Architects.
- Collaborates with the IT Infrastructure teams to aid in the successful delivery of the infrastructure roadmap to ensure a healthy network that is considerate of local needs and global direction.
- Collaborates and partners with the appropriate departments and resources throughout the value delivery process. Works to identify and support cost efficiencies and deliverable effectiveness.
- Collaborates with vendors to meet service level expectations and to comply with business/facility related policies. Supports contractual delivery and issue resolution.
- Provides support and recommendations for changes to current and future system requirements to meet global business organizational needs.
- Assists with consulting on large, cross boundary and/or first-of-a-kind projects within the function
- 6 plus years of IT experience or relevant functional Business-Logistics - and process expertise appropriate to the role is required.
- Experience with SAP TM or similar TMS platform.
- Broad knowledge of relevant business division technologies and trends, and compelling communication to business leadership
- Broad knowledge of the specific business's technologies and capabilities including freight audit and pay processes, rail yard and fleet management, as well as transportation management systems.
- Experience with warehouse management is a plus.
- Knowledge of functional procurement disciplines and technical IT knowledge (applications, analytics, hardware, software, security, etc.) to identify opportunities to leverage information technology to achieve business objectives and assist in deployment.
- IT experience might be waived, if Business experience is strong and person can demonstrate a strong knowledge of IT and refining/manufacturing operations.
- Experience in strategic decision making and successful influencing on leadership level is required.
- Previous experience with, and exposure to, SAP technology and processes is required. Experience building and communicating future business plans and capabilities along with being able to provide insights into the technologies needed for delivery is required.
