This role will support the amplification of key messages tied to the commercial priorities of the firm, the ideal candidate is a detail-oriented team player with PR agency experience, strong writing and editing skills and a keen interest in financial markets and asset management. The person who joins in this role will be part of a growing global communications team and serve as a key partner to Nuveen’s businesses and stakeholders, including investing teams, marketing, legal & compliance, client relations and other areas of the firm. They will be externally facing and work to bring the best of Nuveen to clients and the market.Key Responsibilities and Duties

Develops communications programs that effectively describe and promote the organization and its services

Monitors external media relations and creates rapport to present a positive image of the organization to external sources

Reviews external communications to ensure the accuracy of the information.

Work alongside Nuveen’s Global Media Relations team to protect and enhance the firm’s brand and reputation by supporting corporate communications strategy, across asset classes

Work closely with colleagues worldwide to develop fully integrated communications programs that ensure consistency of messaging and align with global objectives

Foster strong working relationships with business/financial and trade media across channels (print, broadcast, digital and social)

Work in lockstep with business partners and the Corporate Affairs team on reputational and risk issues as it relates to commercial priorities

Partner with colleagues and external vendors on metrics and measurement of earned media results.

Support day-to-day media activities and assist in overseeing media monitoring and digital media efforts. Adhere to editorial style guides for communications content to ensure accuracy and clarity
