We are currently seeking a Business Intelligence Senior Analyst to join our team in Dallas, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

Job Duties and Responsibilities Include:

Take business requirements from users and create functional requirements to automate, create, and alter, insert, etc for tables needed in a complex reporting data model
Provide these requirements to a developer and then do functional testing after the developer completes their work
Update the data model, create reports, then publish them for UAT testing and subsequent deployment to production
Communicate with various business users throughout the process
Leverage Agile mindset as the business works iteratively on requirements

Basic, Required Qualifications:

Minimum three years' Power BI experience
Minimum three years' Oracle database experience

Other Desired Qualifications:

The Onshore data modeler/architect/report developer should have skills that would assist with the following:

Comprehensive understanding of use of Power BI as a reporting tool.

Ability to design, create, and update complex data models. Including design of tables used in model in an Azure SQL DB.

Link to Azure SQL DB.

Publishing reports to Power BI service/workspace.

Understanding of how tune performance in Power BI.

Developing Dashboard reporting to business user specifications, often with unclear functional requirements.

Communication skills

Ability to work with business users to help develop business requirements into functional requirements.

Ability to communicate complex data model architecture concerns to users with varying degrees of technical expertise.

Project Management communications (creating timeline estimates for work, demoing work, testing coordination with UAT testers, etc).

Basic understand of business financial concepts such as sales/GP/margin and related algebra.

Experience with logistics or medical companies a plus.

Other Key Items: SQL primarily DML, but DDL a big plus. Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Oracle, HDI, Hadoop, Azure, all a plus.
