Role Description: The

Civil Engineer I must have at least 15 years of experience. This family designs and plans civil engineering projects such as roads, airports, bridges, harbors, dams, irrigation systems, pipelines and power plants.

Typical Education and Experience: - Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline and 1+ years of experience. - Working with PLS CAD, mainly design work on computer and interfacing across teams, some field visits to see projects.

Responsibilities: - Analyzes maps, blueprints, drawings, tests, and aerial photographs on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design project. - Calculates cost and determines feasibility of project based on analysis of collected data, applying engineering and advanced mathematic principles. - Inspects construction site to monitor progress and ensure conformance to engineering specifications. - Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software. (It should be understood that this is not intended to be a detailed nor comprehensive description of any individual employee's job content. Managers set the specific duties and responsibilities for each employee.) -

Scope: Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet outlined objectives. work is reviewed by management to measure meeting objectives. Directs established guidelines, procedures and policies. -

Problem Complexity: Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises independent judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. -

Impact: Contributes to the fulfillment of projects and organizational objectives. Decisions and achievements may have direct effect on project schedule. -

Liaison: Interacts daily with subordinates and/or functional peer groups. Interacts with outside customers. Interaction normally involves exchange or presentation of factual information. -

Freedom To Act: Performs standard scientific and engineering studies for less complex work. Individual is expected to assist in conducting scientific tasks such as permit applications or calibration of mathematical models for specific phases of a project of a more complex nature.

Leadership and Management: Knowledge/Skills and Ability: - Has the knowledge and experience to be able to handle unusual and seldom occurring job events with minimal assistance. - May serve in a lead or supervisory role and train others.

Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent

Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience

Relocation: This position will not cover relocation expenses
