SMThis position will analyze, research, and understand member appeals request claims, determine additional information required, make appeal determinations, send correspondence to member of appeal outcome. Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills for outbound calls and correspondence.This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work on our normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm Pacific Standard Time (PST) zones. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy.You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma / GED (or higher)

1+ years of customer service experience

1+ years of working experience with Microsoft Office (MS Word - creating, editing, and saving documents), MS Outlook (email and calendar management), MS PowerPoint (creating, editing, and presenting slide decks) and MS Excel (filtering, sorting, and editing data in spreadsheets, formulas and creating pivot tables)

Ability to work an 8-hour shift between normal business hours between 8:00am – 5:00pm - Pacific Standard Time zones

Preferred Qualifications:Experience with ETS, ECAA, DOC360, NICE, ISET, HSR, Client Letter

Experience working on Appeals or Grievances

Knowledge of HMO and/or Claims

Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish

Telecommuting Requirements:Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy

Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)

Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
