Primary Purpose

The Talent Management Generalist utilizes HR best practices to provide support to the Talent Management Consulting function through effective research, problem solving, analysis, documentation, and process management. Areas of focus include but are not limited to employee relations, employee inquiry response, talent management systems, compensation, and performance management.

Minimum Specifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Experience

  • 3 years of professional Human Resources experience required.
  • Previous healthcare experience is preferred.
  • Previous employee relations investigation experience preferred.

Certification/Registration/Licensure

  • Prefer PHR, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or SHRM-SCP certification

Skills or Special Abilities

  • Must have knowledge of HR federal laws and regulations
  • Must be resourceful, have problem-solving aptitude, and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be technically adept with systems, with ability to learn quickly
  • Must be results focused while maintaining relationships and adhering to procedures
  • Must have strong knowledge of research-based best practices related to human resources owned processes and procedures.
  • Must have good negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Must have excellent multitasking and time-management skills
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, and employee engagement.
  • Researching employment-related inquiries utilizing HR best practices to make recommendations for resolutions.
  • Provide support and guidance regarding complex and/or sensitive employment matters.
  • Conducts basic employment-related investigations referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Ensures procedures are administered fairly and consistently throughout the area of responsibility.
  • Documents changes in practice and proposes process changes to benefit HR, leaders, and the employee experience.

Job Accountabilities

  • Identifies ways to improve work processes and improve customer satisfaction. Makes recommendations to supervisor, implements, and monitors results as appropriate in support of the overall goals of the department and Parkland.
  • Stays abreast of the latest developments, advancements, and trends in the field by attending seminars/workshops, reading professional journals, actively participating in professional organizations, and/or maintaining certification or licensure. Integrates knowledge gained into current work practices.
  • Maintains knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws, and guidelines that impact the area. Develops effective internal controls designed to promote adherence with applicable laws, accreditation agency requirements, and federal, state, and private health plans. Seeks advice and guidance as needed to ensure proper understanding.
