Lab Technician 1Pay Rate: $20.00/hrWork Schedule: M-F 2:00 pm-11:00 pm or 6:00 pm-3:00 am (most likely 6 pm to 3 am but the shift will be determined based on the business needs when the offer is extended).Temp to Hire (Y/N): Yes (based on performance)- Should the position go permanent, the permanent shift would be M-F 6pm-3am.Job SummaryThis position is for an entry level lab technician working in a cleanroom for trace metals analysis. The types of analysis include DI water and semiconductor grade chemicals by use of ICPMS, ICPOES and GFAA instrumentation. Tasks include but not limited to making standards, eluent mixtures and sample prep and learning the different instrument analysis. There is interpretation of analytical data and report generation as well.Responsibilities
- Analysis of DI water and semiconductor grade chemicals for trace metal impurities by use of ICPMS and GFAA instrumentation
- Participate in other analyses as assigned to the spectroscopy laboratory in the Chemical Services Laboratory
- Making metal standards, eluent mixtures and titration solutions
- Interpretations of analytical data and report generation
- Participate in the documentation of quality control standards and analytical results
- Responsible for the documentation of quality control standards and analytical results
- Active participation in optimization of sample cycle time and continuous laboratory improvements
- Must be able to work 2nd or 3rd shift. Some holiday and weekend coverage required
