Responsibilities

Here at State Farm a Technical Coach in the State Farm Dojo is an experienced

Software Engineer with multiple years of implementing DevOps capabilities. A State Farm technical coach will enable teams to adopt DevOps practices, culture, and tools, while helping them migrate to more resilient and secure cloud-based solutions.

Qualifications

We Are Looking For Candidates With:
  • Experience with full scale development, design through support
  • Experience with the Cloud (well architected design, 12 factor apps)
  • Resiliency - Dashboards, Eventing, Notifications, Dependency Management
  • Ability to communicate complex technical terms to non-technical individuals
  • Experience with GitLab and deployment pipelines, including test automation and CI/CD principles

Additional Skills:
  • Certification in AWS, CaaS (Kubernetes or Docker), Terraform
  • Relationship Building
  • Coaching others in their learning and growth
  • Experience with monitoring tools (such as Splunk or DataDog)
  • Experience deploying through GitOps
