The Customer Portal Lead UI Developer will be responsible for Architecture, Design and Development of highly responsive Web applications using React, Next JS frameworks. Will work closely with Development, Architecture and Product teams in building Customer facing features.

What you’ll be doing
  • Designing a modern highly responsive web-based user interface
  • Developing the latest user-facing features using React, Next.JS
  • Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
  • Optimizing components for maximum performance across web and mobile devices
  • Collaborate with Full Stack and API developers to enhance the user experience
  • Work closely with the business analysts to understand use cases and user needs
  • Write tests for new and existing features to improve overall test coverage
  • Requirements review, Design and Code reviews
  • Ensuring Portal web application stability and performance
  • Working with DevOps to assist team with set up of new Next.js based projects and Pipelines
  • Assist with the testing, maintenance, and development of multiple React/Next projects
  • Troubleshoot, debug and maintain Portal Web application and sub projects
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest technology and programming trends

What you’ll need
  • 4-5 years React.JS or Next.JS Development with Customer facing or Internal Web/Mobile applications
  • Overall 6-7 years of experience with Front end technologies
  • Expert with Material UI and creation of new components
  • Expert with HTML5 and CSS3
  • Exceptional JavaScript coding and analytical skills
  • Continuous Integration testing and builds
  • JavaScript Unit Testing
  • Experience with software engineering best practices (e.g. unit testing, code reviews, design documentation)
  • Fullstack experience is a plus
  • Integration with API endpoints and Services
  • Swaggerhub usage experience.

The Role
  • Work with stakeholders to create and organize product backlogs
  • Work in an agile environment following scrum development processes
  • Partner with the business to gather requirements, assist in story writing, and manage/groom the backlog.
  • Provide technical direction for the UI/UX development, and design, from the definition phase through to implementation.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to drive site enhancements with minimal supervision
  • Responsible for developing desktop and mobile customer facing websites
  • Responsible for providing content management, content strategy, and project management.
  • Partner with API layer team to ensure front end requirements are met
  • Provides trouble shooting for day-to-day issues and ongoing maintenance with portal solutions and reporting. Makes recommendations as needed to ensure reliability of the systems and finds innovative solutions if problems should occur
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with both internal/externals customers at the senior management and executive level to influence project teams and gain consensus on the selection of the most viable solutions
  • Collaborates on and oversees various projects as assigned that are cross-functional in nature
