  • Minimum 5 years of experience with manufacturing processes preferred.
  • Strong experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodology.
  • Outstanding ability to positively motivate and influence others.
  • Strong project management and financial feasibility experience for new equipment and processes.
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills
  • Must be results oriented, high energy, self-starter, with strong reporting skills.
  • Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and manufacturing software in general.
  • Able to communicate across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to travel about 30% - both US and International
What You'll Do:The SPS Lean Leader is responsible for the development of Lean Manufacturing tools, techniques and activities in line with the SPS philosophy and strategy. The SPS Lead is a pivotal role in identification, reduction and elimination of operational waste thus improving safety, quality, standardization and operational efficiencies in the HTAS Global operational functions. The position will be expected to plan, train, coach and manage SPS 12 steps (HLS) through each Value Stream transforming each functional value stream process into a leaner operation through a managed program that aligns with SPS strategy. You'll also:
  • Partner with the Plant Operational leaders to define the key plant value streams.
  • Partner with plant operational leaders to define the current and future state Value streams to plan and prioritize continuous improvement activities.
  • Define and standardize the lean system and SPS methodology to be used throughout the plant.
  • Align strategy and goals with MR&P and GTS SPS Transformation team
  • Train and guide plant operational teams through a lean program of events linked to SPS transformation process embracing the SPS 12 steps.
  • Partner with operations in planning and facilitating Kaizen, TPM, 5s and other workouts in support of the manufacturing operation.
  • Defining new and existing equipment layout designs linked to SPS principals.
  • Identify and document best practices that will benefit global operations and help standardize the plants.
  • Perform SPS audit (Lean Road Map) report out to value stream lead and managers on monthly progress and reconciling Lean Road Map improvements with the Plant Controller for Pro-Track.
