Location: Dallas, TX

Job Summary:

Seeking a Mid-Level Litigation Associate with 2-4 years of legal experience (2017-2019 grad) to join our sophisticated Litigation practice. This position is based in the Dallas office of the Firm. The Associate hired for this position will work collaboratively with partners and be a key member of the team.

Expected responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Drafting and preparing briefs, pleadings, motions and other litigation documents
  • Conducting legal research and writing
  • Managing complex disputes, including running discovery
  • Working on all aspects of pretrial to trial
  • Supporting the team on business development and other litigation-related matters as needed

Requirements:

  • Can effectively communicate research into meaningful written work product
  • Possesses strong writing and analytical skills
  • Has excellent interpersonal skills and is able to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Demonstrates sound judgment and possesses keen attention to detail

Technical skills:

  • 2-4 years of litigation experience in a law firm is required
  • Strong litigation skills, such as serving as writing major briefs (summary judgment or opposing class certification), acting as the case management lead, taking depositions or demonstration of superb oratory skills are required; significant deposition and court experience is preferred
  • Federal District Court or Appellate clerkship(s) a plus, not required
