Job Title: Oracle ERP Project Manager Job Duration: 30-36 Months Contract Client name: Dallas Independent School District Location: Dallas, TX 75231 (Must be local to Dallas-Fortworth Metroplex) REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience as a Project Manager on multiple ERP implementations (e.g., Oracle ERP Cloud, Oracle R12).
  • 8+ years of project management experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience implementing some combination of Oracle Procurement, Financials, Supply Chain or Human Resources/Payroll applications.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
  • PMP certification desired but not required.
  • Product, technology, or industry expertise relevant to the Oracle products a plus.
  • Oracle ERP Cloud experience is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision to meet project deadlines.
  • Ability to follow solid project management principles and successfully manage projects of increasing complexity.
  • Competence in sustaining project timelines, schedules, and critical path analysis with all affected parties.
  • Ability to work with key District and Oracle staff to establish performance targets and track progress by creating concise reporting through various means (e.g., electronic, database, PERT and Gantt type project management tools).
  • Experience and knowledge in project management and leadership, preferably in a school district setting.
  • Effective communications and interpersonal skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills. With the ability to clearly report on plan implementation progress, and motivate staff to follow the timelines, report progress, and adapt and adjust as required.
  • Ability to commit to this project for approximately 30 months (2 years) to 36 months (3 years).
  • Strong ability to keep staff teams focused on goal attainment within conflicting time parameters.
  • Ability to quickly gain a solid understanding of several complex and significant documents including the Statement of Work, Master Consulting Agreement, and Licensing Agreement related to Oracle, as well as other indirectly related plans or documents.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic school district environment, with an understanding of the nuances and challenges within an urban setting.
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills for dealing with internal stakeholders and vendors.
  • Proven success working with all levels of management.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with building and developing the project team to ensure maximum performance, providing direction and motivation to meet project goals.
  • Lead project through deployment, identifying scope changes, schedules, budget estimations and project implementation plans.
  • Assess and manage project risk.
  • Report project status to project team and internal management channels, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Maintain partnerships with outside resources, including third-party vendors.
  • Adhere to PMI's Project Management Standards.
  • Gain a complete understanding of the objectives of the project including the timeline, budget, and outcomes anticipated.
  • Work with senior staff responsible for various stages of the project to accomplish objectives.
  • Identify and obtain needed resources (personnel, equipment, supplies, training, consulting services, etc.) in collaboration with District staff.
  • Maintain continuous communication with Oracle's Project Manager and staff to ensure project deliverables are met and remain on time and within budget.
  • Monitor progress on project timeline and address missed targets/benchmarks immediately to avoid significant project delays.
  • Provide oral and written reports to the project team as needed.
