About You

The Digital & Technology team at CBRE is a forward thinking and innovative team, currently leading a global digital transformation. We are looking for Principal Artificial Intelligence (AI) Architect to join the global team based in Richardson, Texas. As a Principal AI Architect, you'll help drive digital transformation by helping evangelize and drive adoption of AI at CBRE. This area is a critical component to the enablement of our digital products.

This position is cross-functional in nature, requiring strong working relationships with multiple teams including Product Management, Technology, Data and Business Transformation teams. In addition to internal constituents, you may also work with customers and partners to understand the market requirements and to support the business, so excellent communication (written and verbal) and a passion for creating customer centric user experience is vital.

What you’ll be doing

- Collaborate with business, technology teams and data scientists in the identification, design, prototyping and selection of AI/ML solutions needed to deliver business value.

- Architect and Deploy enterprise solutions which include components across the Artificial Intelligence spectrum such as Machine Learning, Deep-Learning, Virtual Assistants and Cognitive Services (e.g., Vision/Image, Textual/Language processing).

- Lead our architecture journey for artificial intelligence, working closely with peer architects, digital technology service owners, operations leaders, business leaders and product managers. Ensure we architect for today, to redefine the future, and to bridge from today to that future.

- Aid in the development of strategies and roadmaps for AI & machine learning and other advanced analytics areas (e.g., natural language processing, neural networks, computer vision, ML platforms, open-source libraries, event-driven stream processing, data lakes)

- Develop and review execution plans with respective owners of enterprise systems, regarding the evolution from current to AI enabled future-state. Market and build consensus as necessary to execute identified solutions.

- Create and articulate future state AI vision via all the relevant architecture & design artifacts. Help validate these proposed future state architectures with proofs-of-concepts and/or MVPs.

- Continuous "outside-in" scanning, to facilitate continuous learning, hands-on understanding, & adoption of AI Solutions Architecture industry standard methodologies & techniques.

- Practices a customer-focused approach, driven to listen and fully understand the request. Willingness to go beyond organizational boundaries to address challenges.

The successful candidate

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Have an excellent technical and commercial understanding in the creation of technology solutions and outcomes for customers.

- Ability to learn emerging technologies (e.g., streaming, knowledge graph, data platform, smart factory, digital twin) and to apply these technologies to solve business problems

- Strong desire to experiment with and learn new technologies and stay aligned with the latest community developments in AI/ML Ops/Engineering and cloud native

- Excellent written, verbal and presentation communications skills; you will often find in situations where you have to describe problem statements, solution options, your analysis and recommendations to a mix of technical and non-technical and use strong influencing skills to gain consensus and an agreed way forward.

- Ability to approach design with timeliness, cost and quality factors in mind. Risk identification and mitigation, quantification and qualification non-functional and functional requirements.

- Driven digital transformation, roadmaps, target operating models, cost reduction, performance improvement

- Self-motivated, smart and quick to learn

- Interest in, and focus on, customers and passionate about creating good user experiences

- Good knowledge of agile software development processes

Required Skills

- Minimum bachelor’s degree qualification, with strong quantitative background (STEMeducation background (Science,Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) AND/OR an MBA preferred)

- Deep knowledge of AI/ML (AWS, Azure)

- Technical proficiency, including:

Must Have

- 8+ years of deep AI / ML solution architecture, enterprise architecture experience

- 5+ years of AWS/Azure data, Analytics and AI services

- 3+ years hands-on of experience with data science tools and frameworks

- Recent experience in Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs)
