This role is a senior member of the Business Intelligence Team and will be the point person for the company’s business intelligence automation activities using the tool suite and supporting other technologies currently managed by this team (specifically, Looker, Power BI, Sigma Computing). The Associate Director BI automation Engineer is responsible for leading a team of engineers to provide stable, secure and well-governed business intelligence capabilities.

Your Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement automation solutions and capabilities for BI Platform including various product APIs to automate administrative functions.
  • Extensive experience with implementing and running BI platforms for business intelligence, data applications, and embedded analytics (Power BI, Looker, Splunk and Sigma).
  • Experience in designing and delivering complex Platform architectures
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with platform governance and resiliency including defining SDLC and CI/CD processes.
  • Integrating BI platform tools with different tools which includes and not limited to Power BI, Splunk, Collibra, Service now.
  • Solid ability to quickly propose solutions by recalling the latest best practices learned from MVP & Product Team articles, vendor documentation, whitepapers, and community publications
  • A passion for understanding and integrating business semantics into technology solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, client-facing role where delivering solid work products to exceed high expectations is a measure of success
  • Excellent communication, presentation, influencing, and reasoning skills with the ability to lead sophisticated projects and provide solutions to users.
  • Work closely with internal IT, Server, Security teams to troubleshoot including reviewing logs and resolve issues with production/non-production environments
  • Aligns risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately.

Talents Needed for Success
  • 8+ years leading BI infrastructure environments, ideally in a Financial Services or other highly regulated environment
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Extensive programming skills in Python, PowerShell and Shell scripting
  • Deep knowledge of BI tools, ideally Power BI, Splunk, Looker and Sigma Computing
  • General awareness of industry trends in BI tools, platforms, processes
  • Experience with supporting Enterprise Tools.
