Job Description

Olsson Studio delivers a boutique creative design experience to our clients and our people, backed by the expertise and resources of our whole company.

As a Project Landscape Architect within our North Dallas Studio, you will conduct work requiring a mastery of specialized techniques or ingenuity when selecting and evaluating solutions to unforeseen or novel complexities. The project landscape architect is a problem solver who applies design solutions to a wide variety of opportunities and issues. The project landscape architect may supervise landscape architects, technicians, and interns.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Prepares concept designs, design documents, contract documents, and contract administration for landscape architecture projects.
  • Assists project managers with management tasks (or portions of management tasks) including project scope of work, project schedule, and the completion of initial paperwork.
  • Assists with review of budget and schedule progress reports.
  • Performs and coordinates design aspects of projects; directs team members on design tasks.
  • Maintains project records including correspondence, drawings, and files.
  • Coordinates with clients and attends client meetings.
  • Assists with marketing/business development; may help write proposals.
  • May serve as project manager on smaller projects.
  • Independently performs assignments on complex projects.
  • Coordinates assistant and associate professional staff and technical staff’s work; may supervise student or technical staff.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture
  • Must be a Registered Landscape Architect with at least six years of full-time landscape architecture experience that demonstrates increasing responsibility.
