We are also home to EyeMed, the fastest growing vision care company in the United States.To support our global business, Luxottica operates multiple manufacturing and logistics facilities across North America to support our retail stores and wholesale customers.GENERAL FUNCTIONThe Luxottica Internship Program is a summer (10-12 week) immersion into the Luxottica Atlanta Service Center and its operations. It is a project based internship where you will have the opportunity to contribute to business success by working on a priority business project within a manufacturing or distribution department. The Atlanta Service Center is expanding its operations, which offers additional insight into Luxottica’s business model.The Luxottica Internship Program offers competitive hourly compensation, a formal mentor program, and events with opportunities for networking, and personal & professional development.We are seeking interns for our Summer Internship Program in our distribution and manufactruing facility which is located just outside of Atlanta in McDonough, GA. A few examples of possible areas you could be focused in are operations, engineering/systems, transportation, quality/inventory control, and after sales.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Utilizes skills to work on a priority project(s).
Asks questions, contributes to group meetings, and offers new ideas, insights, and fresh thinking.
Provides support to team members in various day-to-day activities.
Presents learning and contributions to the business at the end of the summer.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Actively pursuing an undergraduate degree with relevant coursework
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative mindset, maturity and good judgment
Demonstrate leadership ability and relationship building skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced dynamic environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous internship or work experience
Leadership roles on campus and/or community Involvement
Rising junior or senior
