Microsoft’s Enterprise Systems & Infrastructure Venture Integration (MEVI) team has the unique opportunity to lead the technical integration of its newly acquired companies into the Microsoft ecosystem. The MEVI team is an Engineering Program Management team focused on the successful integration of newly acquired companies. The goal of the MEVI team is to bring the right people together at the right time to plan and execute for the seamless and friction free integration of an acquired company’s people, front and back-office operations into Microsoft’s core set of IT platforms, tools and services, while not disrupting either the acquired or Microsoft’s business. This is a unique opportunity to develop and grow your technical leadership skills, get exposure to working across various complex programs and across organizations to directly affect the future of Microsoft’s growth curve.ResponsibilitiesAs the Senior M&A Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for the following:Integration management – Responsible for driving key IT M&A scope areas on acquisitions/ divestitures with various programmatic and technical integration strategies, detailed planning and co-ordination activities across various partnering teams, organizing partnering teams within an integration office PMO. You will contribute to the team practice, operations and core priorities.

Technical Strategy & Plans – Establish and/ or mature various technical integration strategies with various partnering engineering teams, create and maintain baseline artifacts, processes, engagement model and ways of working through a collaborative and iterative mindset.

Technology Roadmap - Ability to interact with diverse technical and non-technical groups spanning all organizational levels to future technical roadmaps. Influencing and leading a high-functioning PM and development teams responsible for critical-path services and tools.

Skills:Project management (required) : Ability to learn and grasp concepts quickly in a fast-paced environment and has a track record of previously managing complex IT/ consulting projects with attention to detail, organization, structure and process. You demonstrate an ability to insert yourself in various aspects of running projects to deliver on a successful outcome.

Developing complex analysis, planning and solution options (required): Proficient in bringing together pertinent stakeholders, building consensus, able to draft and articulate complex systems and IT infrastructure topics, including integration approaches, points of view, solutions options and roadmaps, presenting and getting buy in from executive stakeholders, and can communicate with a broad set of IT and business stakeholders.

IT experience (required): You have a deep understanding of back and/ or front office systems development/ configuration and integrations, conversant with master data, can take a big picture view to look across process/ functional areas, identify dependencies, translate business and IT needs. You have understanding of core IT infrastructure concepts such as networking, information security, site management, IT support, labs, cloud. Experience in large IT back/ front office & collaboration systems, as well as cloud migration is preferred.

IT M&A expertise (preferred): Proficiency in driving IT M&A initiatives, running an IT integration/ divestiture management office, able to define overall approaches, IT integration spend & synergies are preferred.

Organization – Have an attention for detail, and be well organized to manage multiple parallel and complex priorities and responsibilities.

Collaboration - As most strategic and tactical plan development is about working with others, both within an immediate team, as well as across business units and portions of the acquired company, an ability to collaborate effectively is a core competency to have. Ability to generate trust, build alliances across the organization, and orchestrate interdisciplinary teams to the benefit of the acquiring business, the acquired business, and related employees.

Customer Focus - A focus on delivering customer value and being able to directly tie decisions and actions to that value. Create a strategic integration roadmap and drive it to delight acquired employees.

Drive For Results – Being able to drive for results, following a problem through to its conclusion by engaging with relevant stakeholders, building definition and consensus and helping to solve to solve it.

Technical Excellence – Being able to map business scenarios and needs to technical solutions and roadmaps, by tying in various initiatives across Microsoft and how they can be applied in M&A scenarios, and engaging with appropriate teams to ensure M&A scenarios are considered in solutions.

QualificationsRequired:A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Software Development, or a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience is required.

6+ years of experience in implementation, deployment, consulting and/or sustaining in Enterprise IT, ERP, back/front office solutions

5+ years of experience in related IT project management roles

2+ years of experience in managing cross functional, cross organizational IT related programs

Experience managing programs with senior visibility and reporting, e.g Director, General Manager, Vice President or similar senior leader roles

Preferred:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar field

Master’s degree

4+ years of experience in M&A in industry/ consulting capacity

Experience managing programs with executive visibility and reporting, e.g Corporate/ Senior Vice President or similar executive roles

Exposure to Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) management tools & methodologies, IT Program and release management tools (e.g. Azure Dev Ops or similar), Industry compliance & certifications (e.g. SOX, ISO27001), IT Service Management frameworks, etc

At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance.
