You will need solid hands-on experience in cloud-based technologies, with an understanding of how to leverage technology to enable the business become more secure and efficient. In this very collaborative environment work to incorporate new ideas in a think-tank and share new ideas across the business
RESPONSIBILITIES- Collaborate with development and engineering teams to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions
- Plan, design and develop new cloud-based applications as well as migrate on-premise applications to cloud platforms
- Manage private and public cloud data environments educating teams on the implementation of new cloud-based database initiatives
- Proactively utilize problem-solving skills to solve issues before they snowball into problems
- Evaluate and select database components, including hardware, relational database management systems, ETL software, metadata management tools, and database design solutions
- Monitor database system details within the database, including stored procedures and execution time, and implement efficiency improvements
- Lead and develop best practices for SQL/Database teams
- Orchestrate and automate cloud-based data platforms throughout the company
- Standardize and support end-user practices and tools for data extraction, queries, and data manipulation in accordance with business processes
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies and best practices to make make recommendations to help the company excel
- Strong SQL database administration and troubleshooting skills including Cloud administration skills in AWS and Azure
- Experience with large-scale enterprise MS SQL Server deployments and experience patching with clustering and standalone SQL instances
- Experience with AD users and permissions
- Familiarity with Azure and AWS Maintenance & Administration
- Experience using and troubleshooting SNOW
- Experience with Amazon RDS and Postgres
- Experience with Windows/Linux systems engineering
- Strong working knowledge of PowerShell and or other scripting technologies
- Certification as an Azure Administrator/Architect Certification, AWS Solutions Architect and/or Cloud Security Certification
