PRIMARY PURPOSEServes as lead worker to Sterile Processing Technicians to ensure sterile processing function operates effectively. MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONSEducation:-None Experience:-Must have four years experience in sterile processingEquivalent Education and/or Experience:-May have an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in lieu of specific education and/or experience as stated above. Certification/Registration/Licensure:-Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) OR-Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) OR-Certified Registered Central Service Technician ¿ Cert. Instrument Specialist (CRCST-CIS) OR-Certified Ambulatory Surgery Sterile Processing Technician (CASSPT) OR -Certified Surgical Instrument Specialist (CSIS) OR-Certified Flexible Endoscope Preprocessor (CFER) OR-Certified Surgical Technician (CST) OR-Certified Operating Room Surgical Technician (CORST)Skills or Special Abilities:-Must be able to read written directions and to write legibly. -Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, visitors and hospital staff.-Must be able to lift, carry and push heavy objects. -Must have ability to learn basic PC skills as needed to complete daily tasks.-Must have knowledge of principles and policies concerning sterilization techniques and practices. -Must be able to operate all sterilization equipment and to recognize equipment malfunction. -Must be able to demonstrate basic record keeping and inventory control skills.Parkland Health and Hospital System prohibits discrimination based on age (40 or over), race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, disability, national origin, marital status, political belief, or veteran status.Vacancy expired!
