Job Description
The VMware and system administrator role for company’s growing wireless networking group. This role involves operation and maintenance of virtual server environment for data center and lab office.
Responsibilities:
-Install, configure, and manage all aspects of the VMware Vsphere environment including creating virtual machines, installing new ESXi hosts, datastore creation and maintenance, P2V’s, and troubleshooting performance issues
-Monitoring of Network and Application Environments
-Generate Operations Reports related to system capacity and utilization.
-Provide support for QA & Technical Support staff.
-Performs regular system maintenance, hardware and software upgrades, physical to virtual migrations and performance tuning.
-Troubleshoots Windows and ESX server OS issues; independently utilizes all available resources to ensure timely resolution of server issues.
-Manage and complete assigned tasks and tickets in a timely and proficient manner
-Ensure/implement the rigorous application of Information Security/Information Assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of Systems, Applications and/or Services (Hardware & Software).
-You will be required to be on-call.
Qualifications
-6+ years of experience in Windows/Linux system administration
-5+ years of experience in VMware administration required
-Experience with HCI (Dell VXRail)
-Experience with Systems Administration and Enterprise experience, including but not limited to MS Windows, UNIX/Linux server operating system environments
-Project lead experience is plus
