- Collaborate with various teams to ensure high productivity, reliability, scalability, and performance and support of applications and infrastructure.
- Understand business and technical requirements to effectively analyze, develop and implement solutions to solve for automation set up and implementation.
- Develop and implement agile and scalable SysOps solutions, with advanced monitoring and alerting, while establishing best practice tools, frameworks, and processes.
- Ensure responsibility for the deployment, technical accuracy, and completeness of integrated system designs across our development, testing, staging, and production environments.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, fix code bugs, and set up the required infrastructure.
- Contribute to resolving highly complex issues and able to prioritize quickly when escalations happen.
- Perform activities such as code review and validation, code deployment, and merge reviews.
- Contribute to the reference documents to establish consistency and shared knowledge of best practices and delivery methods.
- Contribute ideas to improve processes and make recommendations to advance application performance, evolving CI/CD, and monitoring, ensuring repeatable deployment patterns, enforcing advanced application functionality, and maintaining effective tool utilization.
- Provide technical guidance and influence to development, deployment and support teams on complex SysOps workstreams.
- Utilize curiosity and technological intellect to analyze emerging concepts and make necessary recommendations to achieve transformational results in Deployments, Application & Infrastructure Support, and Automation Setup and Implementation.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or other highly technical, scientific discipline OR equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of Automation/DevOps/SysOps experience with demonstrated experience in the following:
- Scripting experience (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and demonstratable development of automation scripts.
- Understanding of core IT and Systems Operations, such as: operating servers (Linux, Unix, Windows), network changes, etc.
- Proficient with database logs and writing SQL queries, including SQL agent job interactions.
- Strong systems monitoring, alerting and analytics experience, utilizing tools such as Dynatrace, New Relic, Splunk, Datadog, VMware vRealize, AppDynamics, etc.
- Strong knowledge of Continuous Integration-Continuous Delivery (CI-CD) pipelines, DevOps concepts, best practices, and tools such as Ansible, Puppet, GitLab, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.
- Proven ability to work with Web Services and REST APIs.
- Familiarity with automation of deployments to cloud environments (AWS preferred).
- Prior experience supporting customer facing SaaS applications, infrastructure, or similar cloud related services.
- Strong automation skills and the ability to drive automation initiatives independent of automation tools.
- Strong capabilities in creating and maintaining detailed documentation.
- Working knowledge of Agile and Scrum principles and operational process, with applied experience in a matrixed organization.
- Demonstrated aptitude for providing extraordinary customer service in highly critical environments; driven to advance client goals, exceed expectations, and contribute to innovation and engineer efficiency.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills for assessment of complex production support issues and recommend/implement effective solutions.
- Proven ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks, projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate among various teams.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to act as a representative in internal/external meetings.
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Certification or AWS Certified Solutions Architect Certification is highly encouraged, but not required.
