We need a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in ASIC design who would be responsible for development of complex, mixed signal ASICs with previously unachievable performance to give Raytheon a performance edge in system pursuits. The primary role will be technical direction of a circuit design team developing custom state-of-the art ASICs that may include high speed analog to digital converters (ADCs), digital to analog converters (DACs), Serializer/Deserializers (SERDES), Phase Locked Loops (PLLs), RF front-end circuits and complex digital data processing functions. Additional roles include leading a moderate size multi-disciplinary ASIC development team, interfacing to customer and program offices as a Principal Investigator, leading proposals for new business capture, development of technology roadmaps, mentoring, and continuous improvement of design methods. Required Skills: System design, subsystem design, detailed circuit design and architectural trade analysis of digital transceivers, analog to digital converters (ADCs) and digital to analog converters (DACs)

Experience directing development of mixed signal ASICs including specification development, performance validation traceable to requirements, and technical direction

Expert in high speed analog circuit design and optimization

Expert in high speed custom digital circuit design

Cadence & Mentor circuit design tool knowledge

Innovation as evidenced by patents awarded

Outstanding written communication skills evidenced by published presentations or articles

System on a chip architectural design using behavioral modeling and simulation in collaboration with integrated circuit designers

Working knowledge of receiver chain analysis, digital signal processing, and FFT’s

Expert in Matlab or Simulink analysis and simulation.

Experience performing root cause analysis and correcting circuit failures

Ability to work well in a team environment and deploy agile development methods

Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks at a time

Experience leading multi-discipline teams

Hands on ability to test mixed analog and digital ASICs

Established relationships with government labs – DARPA, NRL, AFRL, etc

Experience leading proposals including development of technical solution and writing portions of both technical and cost volumes.

Required Education:

Minimum Degree: BS required; MS/PhD preferred

Majors: Engineering – EE or similar technical degree preferred
