We have been retained by our growing client located in Texas and Californina to deliver a

AWS Cloud Engineer, on a

regular full-time, direct-hire basis.

100% Remote work from the USA. You will join a our client, a data services company, that is growing its core line of business and is growing fairly rapidly, enabling your career growth as you grow your skills within this transformation to the AWS cloud, infrastructure to the cloud, devops and development team hosting .NET and SQL apps on AWS. This is not a super complex infrastructure. Also, if you can handle infrastructure as code to AWS, and CI/CD pipelines creation, and some C#, that s all we need, however, if you have done more in .NET development, that would be even better. ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, SQL development skills are not required but are a big plus. The

AWS Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based solutions according to best practices and standards for Infrastructure to the AWS cloud, and Infrastructure as Code. The

AWS Cloud Engineer is also expected to assist in managing the development, testing, and support processes in a software development project life cycle. This includes supporting development efforts, tools deployment, integrated testing, and assistance with increased productivity and speed. Continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI CD with AWS) is imperative to the success of this role.

  • Deliver, implement, and maintain high-quality technical solutions, including configuration and maintenance of cloud-based systems, primarily in AWS, but will also include some Azure environments
  • Analyze new cloud-based offerings to identify opportunities to help clients reduce obsolescence, optimize costs, and improve the IT service
  • Support the implementation of cloud-based solutions, analyze cloud requirements, and perform architecture and sizing validations in a highly regulated environment
  • Participate in operational activities to ensure functionality and smooth integration of new cloud-based solutions
  • Drive operational efficiencies with Infrastructure as Code, automation, and orchestrations. Build tools and processes for DevOps.
  • Develop and support the configuration management tasks using Ansible playbooks and AWS step functions
  • Collaborate with teams to brainstorm about the best way to tackle a complex technological infrastructure, security, or development problem.
  • Perform incremental testing actions on code, processes, and deployments to identify ways to streamline execution and minimize errors encountered
  • Support cloud architecture designs that address regulatory, compliance, and security requirements as well as business and availability requirements
  • Develop and maintain a library of automation design scripts, processes, and procedures that are tested, documented, and deployable

Requirements:

  • Expertise with AWS technologies and services
  • containers experience (Docker or Kubernetes)
  • A clear understanding of AWS CloudFormation
  • Knowledge with source control tools and integration with code deploy tools
  • Skilled in AWS Code pipeline services, including code build and code, deploy through cloud formation/SAM.
  • Knowledge with modern service hostings, security, and risk management concerns such as IAM, access control, and monitoring
  • Familiarity in orchestration and configuration management
  • Experience with AWS step functions and the ability to develop automated workflows for CI/CD and other repetitive tasks
  • Skilled in operating solutions and implementing cloud-based information systems in a highly regulated environment
  • C# is required
  • 100% remote from the USA, 1 week of travel to California once a year for the teams Mini tech summit meeting and development HQ.

Desired Experience:

  • Technical bachelor s degree required
  • 7+ years of IT industry experience
  • 3+ years of professional experience with using a broad range of

    AWS technologies (e.g.,

    VPC, EC2, Lambda,

    S3, IAM, CloudWatch) to develop and maintain an AWS based cloud solution, with an emphasis on best practice cloud security
  • Experience with microservices & serverless architecture along with their deployment methodologies are a nice plus
  • Cloud services AWS certifications or Azure certifications desired
  • DevOps background and with AWS CI/CD experience
  • Some C# experience is required.

Desired Skills: if you can do AWS Cloud infrastructure and some .NET development, that would be great, but ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, SQL Server development skills are not required but are a big plus. developing on C# ASP.NET Core, or SQL Server is a plus.

Employment Type: Regular Full-Time, Direct-Hire

Salary Range: $110,000 - $140,000 / year
