Job Number: 750 RRI is seeking tech-savvy energy program managers to join our team of advisors to the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU).

All Riverside Research opportunities require U.S. Citizenship. These positions should attract people with some technology or DoD R&D experience in in any of the following areas: Autonomous systems (e.g. drones, robots, 3D printing/mapping, logistics) AI/ML (edge computing, AI, ML, computer vision, AR/VR, quantum computing Space/counterspace (small satellites, broad C4ISR, hypersonics) Human Systems (biomedical, CBRNE physiology, human performance, broad healthtech issues) Energy (cleantech, renewables, alternative fuels and related supply chain, electric vehicles, grid/infrastructure, broad energy resiliency issues) Cyber (5G, anomaly detection and incident response, mostly active defensive methods)

Location: Location is flexible, but ideally Bay area, Boston, Austin, Chicago, or other innovation hub.

Duties: Lead collaborative teams in the design, execution, and management of projects focused on applying and integrating innovative commercial solutions to DoD problem-sets Provide subject matter expertise to support prototype projects related to the technology areas identified above Identify DoD problems that could be solved by commercial solutions and lead problem curation processes with customers and stakeholders Participate in outreach and collaboration with commercial vendors, industry, academia, other non-traditional vendors, DoD entities, program offices, and recognized technical experts Apply knowledge of relevant DoD technology acquisition and research services, as well as commercial best practices, and translate that to develop time-sensitive transition strategies Administer the scope, schedule, and budge related to advance prototyping efforts of commercial technologies Assist with the evaluation and contracting of commercial technologies

Required Qualifications: Minimum 5 years experience in product, project, program management in a defense, intelligence, national security-related field Education in an engineering or scientific field or business Certification(s) in relevant technical and/or management-related fields Prior DoD R&D prototyping experience Prior military experience that allows the candidate to curate problems and define requirements with military end users Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical, and interpersonal and client-handling skills Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance
