Genesis10 is seeking an SOC Senior Associate for this Direct Hire position located in Dallas, TX. This role offers a hybrid onsite/remote option.

Description: Are you an external auditor who is looking to get more integrated in the growing field of technology and business process auditing? Come join our client's dedicated SOC Reporting Team as a Senior Associate. The SOC Team is a part of our ever-growing IT Advisory Services (ITAS) department.

The ITAS team works with clients to make a more risk-aware, effective IT organization that can deliver transformational business change and meet regulatory compliance requirements. Our client's IT Advisory Services, in addition to SOC Reporting, includes Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Compliance Monitoring, PCI DSS Assessments, Security Compliance assessments (HIPAA, ISO), IT Internal Audits, external audit support over IT, and cybersecurity assessments.

Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:
  • Execution of SOC 1 and SOC 2 readiness assessments
  • Execution of SOC 1 and SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 examinations
  • Management of multiple engagements with a dedicated core team
  • Communicate directly with client executives and client project managers
  • Execute projects across a variety of industries, including, technology, healthcare, and financial services
  • Propensity for continued learning and training to advance your own career

Requirements: To be successful in this role the following qualifications are desired:
  • 2-4 years of direct experience in public accounting, external audit, and/or in a compliance department
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Management/Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • CPA license or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam

Desired Skills:
  • Master's degree or further education in information systems is preferred
  • IT Certifications are preferred; CISA, CISSP, CRISC, CISM
  • Solid understanding of IT general controls including, security administration, program change management, program development and computer operations
  • Accounting and auditing research skills
  • Effective time management and organization skills
  • A keen attention to quality and accuracy of details within your work
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
