About the Role

As Senior Product Manager for ITOM Software Platform Services, you have responsibility for the successful transition of all ITOM portfolio to that converged platform, starting with its Core Services comprising the Docker Container Deployment Foundation (CDF), the common Identity Management service (IDM), and the common application installer/upgrader (AppHub).

In your role as Senior Product Manager for ITOM Software Platform Services, you will have a dual responsibility for driving the execution of the that software foundation through its Core Services, and for coordinating the adoption of all ITOM portfolios in a concerted way of those Core Services.

You will work across functional teams to create and execute your vision for the product, routinely collaborating with and influencing colleagues in R&D and other Product Management teams.
  • Product Lifecycle Management - Engage closely with the engineering team to bring the product to market in a reasonable timeframe and end of life products when appropriate
  • Define product roadmap for ITOM Platform Services in conjunction with our CTO Office.
  • Drive product lifecycle of ITOM Platform according to Micro Focus implementation of SAFe methodology.
  • Write epics and user stories, prioritize new features, build consensus, and coordinate product schedules with a team of engineers. Ensure consistent delivery of user-centric experiences developed with measurable goals, grounded in needs, supported by data, in an iterative fashion
  • Facilitate communication and work collaboratively throughout the development process between a variety of internal teams including business development, marketing, sales, customer support, and executives
  • Portfolio coordination
  • Evangelize to the ITOM Product Management population the benefits of ITOM Platform Services and gain buy-in for all ITOM portfolios.

The Senior Product Manager, ITOM Software Platform Services is responsible for:
  • Requirements definition and backlog prioritization for ITOM Software Platform Services: Docker & Kubernetes deployment foundation, Identity Management services, application installer/upgrader and multi-deployment, support of public managed Kubernetes services such as EKS, AKS and GKE.
  • Joint definition with ITOM portfolio product managers of individual portfolio evolution to full ITOM Platform adoption: containerization at scale, application deployment and upgrade, managed Kubernetes support.
  • Customer engagement on customer containerized journey.
  • ITOM Platform enablement (virtual training material)
  • ITOM DevOps roadmap (productize ITOM DevOps as standard content to deploy/upgrade ITOM products with our cloud services deployment application).
  • Service Management architecture convergence requirements and cross-portfolio prioritization.

Experience and Education Required:
  • Proven track record of developing software products in an Agile way, ideally familiar with SAFe methodology, and should be aware of the latest development and industry evolution as it relates to Docker containers, Kubernetes, and CNCF, with detailed knowledge of CNCF.
  • Experience in driving software product life cycle in an Agile software development environment
  • Both technically oriented - ability to communicate and deeply engage with Engineering and Product Development teams and business competent - aware of trends and impact on the market, able to engage with and support Sales and Product Marketing teams
  • Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to coordinate multiple teams through influence. In addition, you should demonstrate a keen ability to express and evaluate opportunities with quantitative and qualitative data analysis. Lastly, you must be hands-on and be able to demonstrate in-depth the suite and engage with key technical stakeholders.

Salary Minimum $98,273 - Salary Maximum $186,749
