seeking a motivated individual for the role of Field Service Engineer Assistant
Manager in the Dallas district office. This position involves managing resource
coordination for various work scopes, including customer and Field Service
interface for equipment installation, testing, operation, maintenance, repair,
troubleshooting, and modification. The role supports the District Service
Manager and interfaces with internal and external customers to resolve complex
problems. Additionally, the individual will maintain customer relationships and
support the platform team. Reporting directly to the District Service Manager,
this key role ensures smooth operations and effective problem-solving.This role can be out of the Irving, or Deep Park TX location.How You’ll Make anImpact
Support customer interface within the district. Manage non-conformancecosts and identify technical and commercial risks and opportunities.Supports the performance of on-site technical and operational support inthe design, development, installation and maintenance of equipment andsystems of a complex nature.
Supports district’s financial Profit & Loss and requiredreporting. Works with internal and external customers to develop complexmaintenance plans.
Completes the planning and estimating to develop complex proposals.Performs the review of complex task plans, drawings, and installationschematics and provides continual guidance throughout task duration.
Lead the collaboration of the platform team including LTP, Sales,Warranty, and parts to provide “best-in-class” customer service. Managethe district engineers and support staffs ranging in size from 5 to 15persons.
Facilitate District employee development training plans. Collaboratewith other departments to continuously improve Siemens Energy products andservice.
Communicate key technical, commercial and customer issues upward toDistrict Management.
What You Bring
BS/BA in a business-related field or engineering required plus aminimum 5+ years of experience in generation service for a level 7 (Mercer52) and 8+ for the level 6 (Mercer 54).
Must have experience in general maintenance of large gas turbines,steam turbines, generators and associated equipment.
Experience working with union & non-union labor is required.
Experience with Primavera and/or Microsoft Project schedulingsoftware, SAP, and Excel is a must. Must have experience developing andmanaging Financial Budgets. Required to travel up to 25%
