The division advances patient care with diagnostic solutions to improve disease detection and management, and simplify laboratory operations.The Area Sales Director leads a high performing Immunohematology crossfunctional commercial team of Territoiry Sales Specialists, Regional IDN manager(s), Area Blood Bank Techical Sales Specialist and help manage dsitributor reps and instrument specialists. The Area Sales Director is responsible for the commercial performance of the business area which includes reagent revenue, captial placement, capital revenue, instrument go live, market share growth and area expenses. The Area Sales Director is also responsible for the hiring, deveopment and overall performance of the Area team. Responsibilities also include the review and mangement of the area expenses and the forecast accuracy. Primary Responsbilities for Role

Achieve monthly, quarterly and total annual sales objectives. This includes reagent revenue, capital revenue, capital placement and go live goals

Recruit, hire, develop and lead high performing Immunohematology commercial team that include sales specialist, regional IDN manager(s) and Regional BB Technical Specialist.

Help manage distributor reps and instrument specialist to achieve performance goals.

Establish and maintain competent product knowledge and selling skills standards within the team

Review and effectively manage the area expenses.

Plan and conduct effective sales meetings.

Successfully launch and execute Company and marekting directed programs, campaigns and promotions.

Help to identify, develop and implement new or extended opportunities to increase division’s field sales performance

Manage teams effective use of Salesforce in keeping information current, accurate and complete.

Analyze area sales reports and salesforce dashboards to regularly track area performance and progress to goals. Recommend opportunities to drive sales performance.

Conduct field travel with each team on a consistent basis, calling on key customers. Work with each team member to review, analyze and assess each team member performance to their appropriate territory or role-specific targets, goals and other objectives.

Maintain timely communication with team, management and internal and external stakeholders.

Additional Responsibilites: Execution and completion of company and marketing projects, produxct launches and strategies according to plan and within agreed upon timelines and budget, according to KPIs.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Execellent & strong leadership skills and presence. Ability to lead a team with vision, direction and effective communication.

Advanced interpersonal skills to work with individuals in the delivery of coaching and performance feedback.

Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to llead and manage managers and high strategic projects

Previous experience in managnig a team or a high value product line

Ability to travel up to 75%.

Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferredExperience:

6 or more years of documented success selling capital equipment to IDNs, VISN’s, DODs’ as evidenced by stack rankings, awards, and commendations.

Experience selling high dollar (>$100K) diagnostic equipment or medical devices to Hospital based labs-preferred.

3 or more years of previous sales management required: must have led direct selling team

Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as the ability to effectively interface with internal and external stakeholders.

Equivalency: Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements. Example: If a job level requires a Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of experience, an equivalency could include 8 years of experience, an Associate’s degree with 6 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 2 years of experience.
