Job Summary/Basic FunctionThe G. Brint Ryan College of Business invites innovative leaders with a notable record of research, teaching, and service to serve as its Endowed Chair in Entrepreneurship. The appointee is expected to have an internationally recognized research record, pursue continuing research and scholarship, and provide expertise, innovation, and leadership to our entrepreneurship and strategy group.The primary focus of the selected individual's research interest would fall within entrepreneurship as broadly defined, with possible secondary focus in related fields. The Chair will be an enthusiastic and motivational scholar who will work closely with our constituencies and will marshal resources to help develop a successful and recognized entrepreneurship program and exercise leadership in the development of graduate and undergraduate programs of study and research.Salary, benefits, and teaching load are typical for a major research university. Responsibilities include helping to establish an internationally recognized entrepreneurship-focused research program, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in entrepreneurship and related areas, and providing service to the university and the profession.The University of North Texas is a Carnegie R1 national research institution located in the vibrant and rapidly expanding Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area and is situated in close proximity to DFW International Airport. A nationally recognized research record in entrepreneurship is required, as are a record of developing and teaching a variety of courses in entrepreneurship and closely related areas, mentoring graduate students, and teaching excellence.Preferred QualificationsA history of leadership in entrepreneurship on research projects, international reputation, editorial positions in leading journals, involvement with major professional organizations, successful collaboration with faculty, and evidence of external grants or funded research are preferred. Additional desirable qualifications include an ability to cultivate collaborative research efforts in entrepreneurship, foster partnerships, and assist in securing donors and philanthropic support, as well as experience in development of entrepreneurship programs and innovative and experiential curriculum.Required Applicant DocumentsCurriculum Vita
