Senior Lease Accountant (GASB required)

DescriptionRobert Half is partnering with a state run entity with a location in Denton, TX to look for a Senior Lease Accountant. This position performs highly complex (senior level) leases, fixed asset and project accounting reporting. The position is responsible for developing, interpreting, and applying the Company’s lease accounting guidance and providing support to the company’s upper management.Minimum Qualifications: Create amortization schedules and capital/operating lease reviews. Researches, develops, and implements lease guidance with GASB guidance. Prepares audit schedules relating to leases and assist the auditors in their inquiries. Conduct reviews of lease contracts to determine accounting treatment. Prepare audit schedules relating to leases or fixed assets, and assist the auditors in their inquiries. Review and preparation of monthly/yearly financial statements. Reconcile specific general ledger accounts. Other duties as assigned by management and assistance with fixed assets area.If you are interested please send your resume to thun.lennert@officeteam.comRequirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 3-5 years of lease asset accounting, financial analysis, and accounting experience. 1-2 years of fixed assets accounting, financial analysis, and accounting experience. Ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced environment.
