OverviewIn anticipation of contract award, Peraton is looking to hire a Supply Technician in Eagle Pass, TX to provide direct Supply Support on the Tethered Aerostat Radar System (TARS) program. This position will assist the Property Manager with the maintenance of records and control of all Company Owned and Government Furnished Property (GFP) at assigned TARS site in accordance with applicable company procedures or government regulations. This position maintains records and logs of property received, transferred, allocated, held and disposed; coordinates property transfers; conducts periodic property inventories; and prepares reports of property status. Assist with the investigation and reports all cases of loss, damage or destruction of Company owned or Government property.Responsibilities
Maintain site property inventory (GFE, TMDE, SPV, SPARES, CONSUMABLES, etc.) records and perform data base research and updates as applicable in accordance with policy and procedures to meet contract requirements.
Issue, Receive and Ship items as necessary to support TARS Operations and Maintenance effort following approved processes.
Track shipments to ensure delivery and verify proper updates are performed and documented within the inventory management
Processes purchase requisitions and purchase order receipts.
Review Infor EAM requisition orders to verify accuracy, terminology, and specifications.
Perform procurement activities using invoice process and assigned Company Purchasing Card (PCARD) following established guidelines.
Maintain, update, file, and retrieve purchase records.
Locate suppliers, using sources such as catalogs and the internet, and interview them to gather information about products to be ordered.
Compare prices, verify specifications with initiator, and consider delivery dates in order to determine the best value among potential suppliers.
Contact vendors to follow up on orders, schedule or expedite deliveries, and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems.
Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage and validate accuracy against requisition and packing list to ensure goods meet specifications. Make appropriate database updates.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned area.
Collateral duties may require qualifications to support Launch and Recovery activities.
Monitor in-house inventory movement and complete inventory transfer process and database updates.
Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
QualificationsYou’d be a great fit if you …
Have 1 year Logistics experience (required).
Have database management experience (required).
Have a High school or GED Diploma.
Are able to operate Forklifts, Pallet Jacks, Banding Machine, Label Maker & Computer. PPE use (hardhat, gloves, safety boots, face shield), HazMat use- handling unopened bulk material.
Have the ability to perform the following physical activities: walking, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, crawling, reaching, lifting, sitting, and squatting. Work may require walking, standing, sitting and working in confined spaces or at high elevations for extended periods of time.
Are willing and able to work in a warehouse and both exterior and interior work environments, sometimes in inclement weather.
Have work experience in basic purchasing/receiving procedures.
Are well organized, detail oriented, have excellent verbal and written skills, have records maintenance experience, inventory management experience and be team oriented.
Are willing and able to work various work shifts as assigned.
Are able to lift 25 lbs unassisted.
Are able to attain/maintain certifications as assigned.
Have a valid U.S. Driver’s license.
Are able to understand, speak, read and write English fluently.
Have proof of U.S. residency.
Are able to obtain and maintain a position of public trust.
Are able to perform other related duties and assignments as required.
