Description:
This position is responsible for the assignment of motor vehicles and drivers for conveyance passengers, and compiles lists of available vehicles.
Additional responsibilities include the issuance of keys, record sheets, and driver credentials.
The Dispatcher records time of departure, destination, cargo, passengers, expected time of return and investigates overdue vehicles.
The Dispatcher may confer with customers to expedite or locate missing, missrouted, delayed or damaged merchandise, maintain record of mileage, fuel used, repairs made, and other expenses.
The Dispatcher may direct activities of drivers and assign vehicles per request.
The dispatcher is responsible for the distribution of vehicles to customers and the movement of equipment to vendors for repairs and maintenance.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must have a minimum of 5 year experience as a Dispatcher.
Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Must Pass a National Agency Background Check.
Strong Communication and Customer Service Skills.
Professional Telephone Etiquette.
