POSITION PURPOSE: The Applications Support Analyst is a liaison between our information technology capacity and our member service objectives by supporting and ensuring the successful completion of analytical, building, testing, and deployment tasks of our business systems. Responsible for performing detailed requirement analysis of the organization’s systems and software applications to determine if future needs are adequately supported. Daily supports operations and on-call support rotation to install, upgrade, enhance, and customize the organization’s Software Applications while documenting processes. Performs user acceptance testing on project’s implementation for enhancements, new software version or new applications. Serves as the Subject Matter Expert to the organization's Enterprise Applications liaising with Network Support staff, Core Operations staff, and development of resources as needed. Interacts with external 3rd party vendors to troubleshoot software applications and resolve issues with a sense of urgency.A.   • Analyzes business functions and management information needs and seeks new and more effective reporting solutions.
  • Analyzes reviews, enhances, and tailors existing software application systems to increase operating efficiency or to adapt to information needs. Maintains systems’ integrity and performance. Ensures confidentiality is maintained.
  • Prepares system test data, analyzes test results and specifies data control procedures for modified and enhanced reporting.
  • Ensures that Application Support duties are performed in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs a variety of complex reporting tasks, such as designing, data mining, documenting, and monitoring automated processes to ensure daily, monthly, and quarterly processes completed successfully and identifies exceptions.
  • Receives and prioritizes calls, Service Desk Tickets, and emails from end-users. Assigns tasks to appropriate trouble tickets and ensures that all problems are tracked, measured, resolved, and verified in a reasonable time frame.
  • B. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective professional business relations with internal and external members.
  • Collaborates with end-users and outsourced business partners to determine needs, objectives, and resources. Gathers data and assesses end-users’ information, reporting and application support needs.
  • Provides assistance, support and training to end-users as required.
  • Keeps management informed of activities and of any significant problems or concerns. Provides suggestions for improved service.
  • Ensures that reports meet end-users’ requirements and are completed on schedule.
  • Ensures that interactions with end-users are clear, courteous, and understandable.
  • Communicates as much information as possible to endusers, including reasons for problems, project status and deadlines.
  • Acts as a consultant and resource to end-users.

  • EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
    • Understanding of a Credit Union/Bank operations and information needs.
    • Thorough understanding of information systems.
    • Thorough knowledge of business software applications.
    • Good understanding of programming concepts.

    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
    • Three (3) year experience in systems analysis, application installation and configuration and data manipulation including the following:
    • Six (6) months of SQL language and database administration.
    • One (1) year of Crystal Reports experience or SSRS reporting tool.
    • Basic knowledge of scripting/programming language, such as Java, JavaScript, Power Shell, or VB Scripting preferable.

    SKILLS/ABILITIES:
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills required.
    • Ability to work independently and complete task without direct supervision.
    • Good Project Management abilities.
    • Demonstrate highly organized and detail-oriented work background, technical expertise, and excellent communication skills.
    • Able to use PC, terminal keyboards, and various computer hardware.
    • Must be able to demonstrate established competency levels for all required regulatory or compliance-related processes and/or procedures within established timeframes of appointment
