OverviewTitle: Bakery Sanitation WorkerJob Summary: As a Bakery Sanitation Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment in a commercial bakery. Your primary duties will include cleaning and sanitizing bakery equipment, work surfaces, and production areas, as well as ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and standards. You will work closely with bakery staff to identify areas that require cleaning and sanitation, and provide training and guidance on proper cleaning procedures. You will also be responsible for the proper disposal of waste and the handling of cleaning chemicals.Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of bakery equipment, work surfaces, and production areas
Follow proper cleaning procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards
Work with bakery staff to identify areas that require cleaning and provide guidance on proper cleaning procedures
Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring that they are properly stored and labeled
Handle cleaning chemicals safely and properly, following all safety guidelines and procedures
Properly dispose of waste and hazardous materials according to company and regulatory guidelines
Ensure that all sanitation equipment and supplies are properly maintained and stored
Perform other duties as assigned by bakery management
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Prior experience in a food production environment preferred
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor for extended periods of time
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards preferred
