Title: Safety & Compliance

Department: Safety

Task: Provides support to safety department by checking ELD units in trucks before departure, as well as assisting drivers who are having issues out on the road. They will be responsible of completing orientation process with new incoming drivers. Candidate should be able to achieve assigned duties in an efficient and effective manner. Management reserves the right to change or modify the functions of this job description as required to meet the needs of the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Process DOT driver applications, maintain DQ files, and endure compliance with all applicable regulations.

· Review, audit and manage driver elogs with Samsara

· Complete driver orientation process.

· Provide guidance and assistance to operations in establishing and maintaining safety operations in compliance with DOT rules and regulations.

· Approve or decline driver applications for employment based on MVR and PSP and new Clearinghouse reports.

· Train drivers on ELD safety and compliance

· Contact past employers of new hires to complete past employment verification.

· Build driver qualification file during onboarding process (DQ FILES)

· Assure DOT Drug & Alcohol program is compliant with DOT regulations.

· Monitoring CSA Basic Scores to address trends and driver performance.

· Cover receptionist as needed.

Requirements:

· Experience in transportation industry preferred but not necessary.

· Excellent organizational, problem solving, and analytical abilities.

· Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communications.

· Strong work ethic with the ability to multi-task and learn and grow.

· Bilingual in Spanish is preferred, but not required.

· Detail oriented.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to work in a team environment, while also delivering independent results.

· Computer skills must be proficient level.

· Flexibility to work as needed.

Pay : Depending on experience
