Job Summary:

rane in ElPaso, TXhas an exciting opportunity for a General Sales Manager in Commercial HVAC. Responsible for Equipment, Service, Controls, and Contracting business in the West Texas and Southern New Mexico area. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering targeted business growth against revenue and margin targets through the effective leadership of the sales team, whilst developing and overseeing the short term and long-term marketing strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the development and delivery of the Equipment, Service, Controls and Contracting sales strategy to meet Annual Operating Plan.
  • Responsible for ensuring overall customer satisfaction to include handling high level customer or national issues and ensuring effective and timely customer review activity.
  • Accountable for revenue and margin achievement across all business streams.
  • Operational Excellence control - establishing and driving the sales activities, forecasting and reporting on bookings, revenue, conversion rates and maintenance of overall pipeline.
  • Accountable for the development and maintenance of the sales plans to include management of leads, quotation activity and order generation.
  • Responsible for the overall development and capabilities of the sales teams in line with Sales Force Effectiveness and other quantitative tools.
  • Support human capital strategies, such as employee engagement, recruitment and retention, and diversity and inclusion.
  • Communicates compellingly both in person, one-on-one, to groups and in writing.
  • Manages price and market share.
  • Understands and implements Bid Strategy and Complex-Sales Strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, business or equivalent from a four-year college or university preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Technical HVAC background or strong commercial and industrial sector experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Trane and/or other OEM products & services, including equipment and systems, controls, building automation systems, parts, service procedures, service agreements, project / contract management & ancillary HVAC products.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to: DUI in the previous 5 years; Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
