Ensures the correct production of budgets and their execution including compliance with appropriate regulations, etc. Reviews and analyzes financial reports to identify trends, working capital and the NAFI's financial position. Ensures all individual budgets are coordinated, realistic and support long range planning. Consolidates budgets into a single NAFI package.Evaluates established internal policies, procedures and management controls to ensure adequacy. Monitors compliance. Recommends changes and suggests solutions to managers. Performs analyses of performa financial statements for proposed ventures; evaluates efficiency and effectiveness of proposals; prepares/reviews return on investment schedules for capital projects; assists and guides managersdeciding on capital reinvestments.RequirementsConditions of EmploymentQualificationsQUALIFICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY VERIFIABLE IN YOUR RESUME. GOVERNMENT POSITIONS MUST INCLUDE PAY PLAN, SERIES, GRADE, TO AND FROM DATES, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCY/DEPARTMENT. Must include at least one year of experience performing duties at a level which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform successfully in the position.Work experience which includes:1) interpreting and assessing program financial performance using standard financial management systems;2) interpreting balance sheet and profit and loss statement results; and3) requiring the application of commercial budgeting techniques. Those who meet the highly qualifying criteria will be initially referred. Highly qualifying criteria is:Experience using government financial software/databases such as SNACS. Experience in evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of proposals for capital/construction projects.Highly proficient in Microsoft Windows, Excel, Powerpoint and other software as required.EducationEducation is not required for this position and will not be utilized in determining minimum qualifications or as a substitution for experience unless indicated in the vacancy.
