SummaryIt is the applicant's responsibility to read all sections and associated links in this vacancy announcement.ResponsibilitiesGathers, verifies, review, analyzes and interprets data from reports in the use of the smart card (coin less) technology. Utilizes and interprets information and documentation provided by the smart card systems, effectively using organizational applications required to adequately control and monitor the machines and systems. Researches problems through the analysis of related information, and provides an independent review of all machines to detect anomalies that may put the program at risk to fund loss or systematic fraud. Uses a series of complementary and inter-dependent departmental applications developed to identify specific conditions, performance, history and potential programs with the operation of the machines. Analyzes system performance at three levels incorporating multi-disciplinary principles of mathematics, statistics as well as electronics, mechanical engineering and systems analysis, and identify problems for corrective action. Coordinates with internal offices as required, and develops conditions / fixes / processes to prevent further occurrences.RequirementsConditions of EmploymentQualificationsQUALIFICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY VERIFIABLE IN YOUR RESUME. GOVERNMENT POSITIONS MUST INCLUDE PAY PLAN, SERIES, GRADE, TO AND FROM DATES, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCY/DEPARTMENT. Must include at least one year of experience performing duties at a level which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform successfully in the position.Possess a degree in operations research or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, research methods, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college level research methods. At least three (3) of the 24 semester hours must be in calculus. (Please provide transcripts or list on your resume the Course, Credit Hours and University where you met the education requirement.) Possess at least one year of demonstrated work experience where you applied and used descriptive and inferential statistical techniques to analyze performance metrics. This experience must be demonstrated in your resume. Possess experience cross referencing data and using multiple data points to understand and resolve an analytical problem. Possess a general understanding of information systems and database management. All Qualified applicants will be rated against the highly qualifying criteria by a rating panel for evaluation of the quality and extent of your total accomplishments, experience and education. Those applicants determined to be highly qualified will be referred to the hiring official for consideration. The highly qualified candidates may undergo an interview and reference checks. All answers to the Highly Qualifying Criteria must be demonstrated in your resume to get credit. Possess least three (3) years of demonstrated professional experience using quantitatively and/or methodologically oriented research analyses.Possess work experience in Microsoft Access, Excel software, and/or appropriate statistical software (SPSS, SAS, STATA).EducationAll candidates (to include current employees) are required to include transcripts or provide course, credit hours and university attended information with their application package.
